Build Story
To create the ultimate power-packed cruiser, we knew the right platform was essential. We opted for the 2023 Low Rider ST, a lighter softail frame that would give us the best chance of maximizing acceleration. While heavier touring models might hinder speed, the Low Rider ST came equipped with a full front fairing and saddlebags right off the factory line—making it the ideal candidate for our performance build.
Once we had the perfect canvas, we dove into the R&D stage. The first challenge was creating an engine that could handle the immense stress of 20 pounds of boost. To achieve this, we needed to reinforce every critical component. First was the core of the motor, the flywheels. Without wasting any time we called Andrew at Darkhorse and after a few talks we had a masterpiece from Darkhorse. So as most builders know you build a motor around a cam, so a few phone calls and a lot of math later and we had a Woods 408X on the way. A quick call to CP and we had some custom made pistons being made. So now the turbo that was the question so we went to the best turbo guy around. Enter the expertise of Justin from JMB Performance. Together, we decided on a Garrett GTX2867R turbocharger and custom intercooler that was going to meet all of our needs . The result? A Harley that could breathe new life into performance like never before.
Now, for the crucial moment: the dyno numbers. Stock, the 2023 Low Rider ST generated 95 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque. After some blood, sweat, and tears, long nights and frustration . The final numbers were nothing short of spectacular. 262HP
This custom 2023 Low Rider ST is proof that with the right modifications, a Harley can go toe-to-toe with sport bikes in terms of speed and power. From the turbocharged engine to the high-performance suspension, every detail was designed to enhance the riding experience. The result? A one-of-a-kind powerhouse that offers unmatched acceleration and jaw-dropping performance on the road.
